1957

Pioneered manufacturing of Minimum Oil Circuit Breakers in 3.3 KV to 36 KV range in technical collaboration with CALOR EMAG, Germany.

Till late sixities, Jyoti was the only manufacturer of Minimum Oil Circuit Breakers in India.

1967

Introduced 145 KV Minimum Oil Circuit Breakers for the first time in India, In technical collaboration with OERLIKON ENGG. CO. of Switzerland.

1973

Developed first indigenous 33 kV, 750 MVA outdoor Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker. This breaker was type tested at High Power Laboratory Czechoslovakia.

Jyoti was presented with an Import Substitution Award for indigenous development of this SwitchGear.

1979

Started manufacture of motor control centres with Vacuum Contactors in 3.3 / 6.6 kV, 400 Amp. rating.

Vacuum Contactors have proved to be excellent switching devices for motors, transformers, capacitors etc.

1981

Developed indoor type MOCBs of 12 kV, 40 kA / 7.2 kV, 44 kA rating for which also Import Substitution award was given to Jyoti. This breaker was type-tested at KEMA, Netherlands in addition to tests at CPRI, Bhopal.

More than 2000 breakers of this 12 kV / 7.2 kV rating are in service, which is the largest in number compared to the quantity supplied by any other manufacturer in India.

1984

Entered into technical collaboration with TOSHIBA CORPORATION, Japan for manufacture of Vacuum Circuit Breakers upto 36 kV rating.

1986

Developed 12 kV, 26.4 kA Oudoor Vacuum Circuit Breaker

1992

Developed compact 600 mm wide cubicles for urban distribution networks.

1993

Started mass production of Vacuum Circuit Breakers in easy-to-assemble cassette type Draw-out units for HT panel manufacturers.

1994

Developed 36 kV 25 kA Outdoor Vacuum Circuit Breaker.

1998
          Developed & introduced 36kV 
          1250/2500A,25kA indoor 
          Vacuum Circuit Breaker & it's 
          parts.

2000
          Developed Full truck Vacuum 
          Circuit Breaker & it's parts with 
          integral earthing 
          switch  in rating 12kV, 630/1250A, 
          25kA & successfully type tested at 
          KEMA.

          Developed & Successfully type 
          tested 12kV, 1250A, 20kA Vacuum 
          Circuit Breaker operated by 
          Magnetic Actuator.
