| Quality Plan |
| |
| Quality requirements are governed
by Quality Plan for L.T./H.T. Motors.
The Quality Plan covers the following
important aspects : |
| |
| Inspection of Incoming materials |
| |
| Vendor approval for supply of raw
materials, components and fabricated
parts to meet the required quality standards,
is collectively undertaken by manufacturing,
purchase, R & D and Quality Assurance
divisions. |
| |
| All incoming materials are inspected
as per specifications. Various tests
like Dimensional check, surface condition,
chemical analysis, mechanical tests,
electrical tests, non-destructive tests
such as ultrasonic examination, magnetic
particle examination, dye penetration
test, radiographic test etc. are conducted
on material as per appropriate standards. |
| |
| In-Process Inspection |
| |
| All components processed in various
shops are inspected as per requirements
of the drawings. Following checks are
carried out on stator coils made using
resin rich system : |
| |
 |
Dimensional conformance. |
 |
High frequency inter-turn test
at appropriate voltage level. |
 |
Power frequency high voltage
test. |
 |
Tandelta test as per VDE-0530. |
|
| |
| Testing of Final Product |
| |
| Following routine tests are
conducted on each motor : |
| |
 |
Insulation Resistance
measurements for stator and rotor
winding. |
 |
Winding resistance measurement
of stator and rotor windings. |
 |
PI test on stator winding (for
HT Motors). |
 |
No load test. |
 |
Locked rotor test (for squirrel
cage motors). |
 |
Open circuit test (for wound
rotor motor). |
 |
Reduced voltage running up test
(for squirrel cage motors). |
 |
High voltage test. |
 |
Vibration measurement. |
 |
Noise level measurement. |
 |
Load and temperature rise test. |
|
