PHELA (Prüfung Elektrischer Hoch-Leistungs-Apparate i.e Examination of Electrical High Power Equipment) is an internationally accepted testing agency for Certification of Medium voltage switchgear.
We had sent the our entire range 12kV 25kA and 40kA products for type testing as per latest standards IEC 62271-100 and IEC 62271-200. All the samples passed the the tests with flying colours in the first attempt. The entire testing was completed in 30 days.
Jyoti has been supplying medium voltage switchgear for over four decades thus it is not a surprise that the tests passed but a reconfirmation of quality of Jyoti Medium Voltage Switchgear With this type testing our products can now be globally accepted and we can export our Medium Voltage Switchgear to any where as per the suitability and acceptability of our products. |

Ring Main Unit |
| |
|
| |
Ring Main Unit consists of two ring switches and a transformer feeder. The Ring switch is a 3 position (ON, OFF and Earth) switch capable of making and breaking load current. It can make on fault but cannot break on fault. The fault is always cleared from the feeding end. The RMU is installed on the pavement at the point of use.
The transformer may be installed at ground level or above ground level using angle structure. The middle cubicle of a RMU is a feeder for transformer. The transformer feeder is either HT fuses protected or a breaker protected.
With this in view Jyoti has entered into technical collaboration with Elmecon (U.K) for indigenous development of SF6 RMU for sale in domestic and international market. 10th May 2010 was a special day for Switchgear division as on this day our collaborators came to our switchgear plant for signing ceremony of the agreement. The signing ceremony was followed by coconut breaking ceremony for starting of the building in house factory for manufacturing SF6 RMU |
