R & D Activities

'JYOTI' Pumps are produced with continuous indigenous R & D efforts. With experience of more than 50 years they have a tradition of reliability and high performance. Jyoti undertakes concept to commissioning of Large Circulating Water Pumping Systems i.e. sump model testing, design and manufacturing of pumps, motors valves, erection and commissioning with undisputed responsibility. Jyoti's Research and Development Center, where pump designs are optimized on basis of efficient feedback from field and laboratory experiments, undertakes research in the areas like :

Hydraulics

  • Development of high efficiency models
  • Development of models having better performance with low NPSH requirements
  • Studies of noise level in pumps
  • Development of high head models.
  • CFD analysis of large pumps.
  • Measurement of axial thrust
  • Measurement of reverse run away speed

Mechanical

  • Stress analysis with help of Ansys Structural
  • Natural frequency analysis with help of Ansys Structural

Large Pump Testing Shop

  • Magnetic flow meters of 500mm, 800mm and 1200mm diameter (Measurement of flow rate upto 45000 m3/hr)
  • Jyoti can independently test large size pumps with Inhouse power arrangement and does not need to depend upon Grid power supply for testing of pumps. Jyoti has internal Diesel Generators for testing pumps upto 6 MW ratings.

  • Magnetic flow meters of 100mm, 200mm and 300mm and 400mm diameter.
  • Head can be measured up to 200 MWC.
  • Power can be measured upto 350 kw, 415 V
  • Pressure measurement with pressure transmitter having range from 0 to 30 Bar and -1 to 2 Bar.
  • Power analyzer for on line measurement of KW, PF, V, A available.

  • Up to 93 KW, 415 V.
  • Online measurement by Power Analyser for KW, PF, Volts & Ampere
